Over the years, I have had the opportunity to cover many Air Show Atlantic productions at various locations throughout Atlantic Canada. Each year, I have been able to attend Media Day which allowed me to conduct some fascinating interviews with some amazing performers. One of the most exciting interviews, was back in 2019, when I had the absolute privilege of speaking with Lt. Commander, James Haley, Pilot #2 of the Blue Angels in Greenwood, Nova Scotia. At the 2024 Air Show Atlantic, I had the pleasure of interviewing Brigadier Edward Sandry, Defense Attaché of the the British High Commission based in Ottawa who was traveling along with with the RAF Red Arrows.

It is worth noting that most large aerobatic teams have a Public Affairs representative who interacts with media and provides valuable information that aids journalistic pursuits. Captain Jennifer Casey, who last served with the Canadian Forces Snowbirds, exemplified this role. Sadly, Captain Casey lost her life in a tragic crash involving the Snowbirds team. Unfortunately, 2025 marks the fifth anniversary of this tragic event. Those who had the privilege of interacting with Captain Casey would have been touched by her charismatic enthusiasm for every role she performed. To preserve Captain Jennifer Casey's legacy, Air Show Atlantic has created the Captain Jennifer Casey Memorial Media & Photography Centre, which travels with the air show production.

Following the conclusion of the Air Show Atlantic 2024, which commemorated the 100 anniversary of the Royal Canadian Air Force, organizers started making arrangements for the subsequent event in Summerside. With enthusiasm mounting, Air Show fans and aviation aficionados await their return to PEI, the birthplace of Confederation, for another electrifying weekend of family entertainment, awe-inspiring displays, and community interaction.
